Deerfield Poker Series House Rules

Overview

-Each Deerfield Poker Series consists of 24 games, 2 per week (played every Monday night), for 12 weeks (3 months) leading up to the DPS Major Tournament.

-Each DPS will start on the first Monday following the previous Major (see DPS Schedule).

-Each game is a $10 “Sit and Go” (or Knock Out) Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament.

-Points are awarded for every game based on Place and Knock Outs.

-Payouts are paid for every game (see Payouts below).

-Deerfiled Poker Points (D.P.P.) are awarded for every game for every player as follows:

(Number of Players) - (Place) + 1 x 10

-Knock Out Points (K.O.P) are awarded for every game as follows:

5 Points per Knock Out

-Each player’s top 16 games (most points, D.P.P.+K.O.P.) at the end of the DPS determine their total chip count (Large) for the Major.  Each player gets a chip per Point for their top 16 games.

Majors

-The Major will always be a $50 or $40 buy in tournament with a varied amount of base chips (see DPS Schedule).

-The Major will occur no later then two weeks after the final game of the current DPS.

-The Major time and place will be announced on the final week of the current DPS.

-The Majors will always be held on a Saturday.

-The host of the Major can add their own house rules (i.e. rebuy, table order, etc.) but additional rules must be acknowledged before the final game of the current DPS leading into the Major.

-Blinds for Majors start at 50/100 blinds (no 25/50 blind level) and blind levels are for 20 minutes.

-Blinds for Majors cap at 600/1200

Game Play

-Games start at 7:00 PM sharp every Monday night.

-Late players will be blinded out.  If a player commits the day of play and no shows by the 3rd blind level they will still be required to pay.

-Everyone starts with 2000 in chips, 5 White (200), 5 Green (100), 6 Red (50) and 8 Blue (25).

-Cards A-8 (for 8 players) are dealt to determine table order.  The player who is dealt the A sits in first position and is the dealer for the first hand.  Everyone else sits clockwise around the dealer based on their number.  If there are 10 players then A-10 is dealt, etc.

-After the first hand is dealt the deal rotates clockwise after every hand.

-Blinds start at 25-50.

-Blind max out at 500-1000.

-If there are more than 11 players then play will be split over two tables with everyone combining on one table when there are 8 players left.

-In cases where multiple players get knocked out in the same hand, their D.P.P is determined by chip stack, the player with the most chips going in gets more points.

-In cases where a player is knocked out by more then one player (i.e. three way all-in) the K.O.P is determined by chip stack, the player with the most chips going in gets the K.O.P.

-In cases where a player is knocked out by more then one player in a split pot (tie hand) the players who split the pot also split the knockout chip.

-Board calls the hand, player does not have to call their hand.

-Suit Order: Spade, Heart, Club, Diamond

Etiguette

-Show one show all.

-If dealt card is shown it becomes the first burn card.

-If a player is stalling, any active player in the hand can call “Clock” and the stalling player has two minutes to act, or they are no longer in the hand/pot.
